Gnocchi with Tomato Sauce with Onion and Butter
The gnocchi were a real pain to make. The first problem was that I had forgotten that in my downsizing madness I gave away my Foley food mill. So after trying to force the potatoes through my blanching pot, I tried the colander. It worked but was very slow. The next problem was the shaping. I think my dough wasn't stiff enough, because they were difficult to shape and then lost some of their shape as they sat. Next time, more flour. The recipe made enough for six servings. The gnocchi were good, probably worth the trouble.
The Tomato Sauce was very good. And very easy. It made enough for two meals with gnocchi.
