A New Adventure

After reading a book (The Tuscan Child by Rhys Bowen) that takes place in Tuscany and talks a lot about cooking, I've decided to try my hand at learning to cook Italian food.  We also just watched 'Julie and Julia,' which added fuel to the fire.  So I borrowed 'Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking' by Marcella Hazan from the library.  I've since ordered my own copy of the book, but it hasn't arrived yet.

For my first meal I chose a Frittata with Asparagus. It was a huge success.  I served it with bruschetta, which had just garlic and olive oil.  A salad would have been good with it.  We ate only half of it and had the leftovers slightly warmed for lunch the next day.
